Toyota is recalling 106,061 Tacoma trucks (2024-2025) due to a brake issue that could lead to failure.

Mud buildup in 4WD Tacomas with 17-inch wheels can wear through the rear brake hose, causing leaks over time.
The tight clearance between the wheels and brakes leads to friction, fluid leaks, and reduced braking power, increasing crash risk.
Only 4WD Tacomas with 16-inch brakes and 17-inch wheels are at risk—2WD and 18-inch wheel models are safe (for now).
Dealers reported this issue last summer, but Toyota just confirmed it’s a design flaw, not a manufacturing defect.
Toyota dealerships will replace the faulty brake hoses for free to prevent further damage or potential accidents.
Toyota will mail recall notices by April, but you can check your VIN on the NHTSA website now to see if your truck is affected.
Brake failure is a serious risk—if your Tacoma is affected, schedule a fix ASAP to stay safe on the road!
