10 Sporty Sports Cars With Surprisingly Good Gas Mileage

All images by official manufacturer sources.

 Toyota Supra

I drove the Toyota Supra, which starts around $44,000. It’s quick, sharp, and still gives me 32 miles per gallon on the highway. Didn’t expect that.

Subaru BRZ

BRZ isn’t the most fuel-efficient, but with 30 MPG highway, better handling, and a great price, it’s a fun ride worth every mile.

BMW M440i xDrive

I drove the BMW M440i xDrive and was blown away. It’s a powerful, smooth ride and somehow still managed over 34 miles per gallon.

Hyundai Veloster N

Veloster N has that turbo lag and gruff growl. It is not great on gas with 22 city and 28 highway miles per gallon but the wild fun drive makes up for it.

BMW M2

Starts at $65,500 and I’ve driven it hard on the highways around Los Angeles. Still got close to 28 mpg. For this power, that’s rare.

Honda Civic Si '22

Civic Si surprised me. Quick, smooth, handles like a champ, and still gave me 37 mpg on the highway. It’s the sweet spot in the lineup, no doubt.

Alfa Romeo 4C

The 4C’s long gone from showrooms, but you’ll still see one now and then. It’s loud, stiff, and still gave me 34 highway and 24 in the city.

Audi TT

The Audi TT’s been around forever, but hop in and it still feels fresh. Handles tight, sips gas, and gives me 31 mpg without breaking a sweat.

Fiat 124 Spider

Took the 124 Spider for a quick spin near Orlando. It’s light, fun, and great on gas. Discontinued now, so finding one feels like a win.
